The Gap Inc.

The last time I saw a bag brand with such wide spread popularity, reaching to working women and girls from urban neighborhoods, was Coach. So I’ve been wondering, is Michael Kors the new Coach ? An article titled “ Michael Kors Brand Takes on Coach in U.S. Luxury Market ” published on Bloomberg.com last year had reported that “Michael Kors will operate in malls and street locations, like Coach, sell accessories-heavy collections, like Coach, and focus on ‘accessible’ luxury, yes, like Coach. While both companies can thrive in the fastest-growing part of the U.S.

Michael Kors Holdings Larger Than S&P 500 Component Netflix

( NYSE: KORS ) was identified as having a larger market cap than the smaller end of the S&P 500, for example Netflix Inc. ( NASD: NFLX ), according to The Online Investor . Click here to find out the top S&P 500 components ordered by average analyst rating » Market capitalization is an important data point for investors to keep an eye on, for various reasons. The most basic reason is that it gives a true comparison of the value attributed by the stock market to a given company’s stock. Many beginning investors look at one stock trading at $10 and another trading at $20 and mistakenly think the latter company is worth twice as much — that of course is a completely meaningless comparison without knowing how many shares of each company exist. But comparing market capitalization (factoring in those share counts) creates a true “apples-to-apples” comparison of the value of two stocks.

Watch: Michael Kors’ bitchiest ‘Project Runway’ takedowns get their own supercut

No human being should wear tight satin!’ By Chris Eggertsen Tuesday, Jun 11, 2013 10:17 PM Comments: 0 When it came to his ten seasons as a judge on ” Project Runway ,” superstar designer/champion eye-roller Michael Kors was never one to hold back his scathingly bitchy opinions. Now someone who is clearly a genius has distilled all of the diva-licious fashion icon’s greatest takedowns from the show into one glorious supercut. For instance: “Let’s be honest, it did look like she had an old diaper pushed in between her legs.” “You achieved the impossible. She has camel toe in big shorts.” “She looks like a transvestite flamenco dancer at a funeral.” “Unless you are going to a Joan Crawford St. Patty’s Day party, I mean, who is wearing this blouse?” “She’s a pole dancer in Dubai.” “She’s got all the curtains from Tara ripped off the wall and put into the one dress.” “Tight satin? No human being should wear tight satin!” And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, friends.

These Luxury Brand Names Still Look Promising

Actually, all of its metrics excel those of its competitors. So, trading at 31 times its earnings, almost double the 17x industry average, is this firm a buy? I’d say that, offering a consensus projected EPS growth rate of over 28% per year over the next half decade, this stock offers an alluring entry point for long-term investors (as evidenced by the numerous institutional buys over the past few months). One of the keys to Kors’ success relies on its strong and long-standing management team, led by CEO John Idol, who used to run other high-end apparel companies like Ralph Lauren and Donna Karan. Some of its growth strategies were questioned in the past, but have proven very effective.
